Wouldn't it be nice if your pup could just sleep on someone's couch while you're gone? Lucky for you, that IS an option! Animal House Boarding and More offers several options for your pups stay including couch surfing, individual kennel or group kennels (for multi-dog families). Boarded dogs are enrolled in our doggie daycare free of charge. This means that there is someone with your dog from 7am-7pm every day, period. Dogs are free to romp, play and lounge as they see fit. Couches, a large indoor play area, large outdoor play area and a TV for background noise means your pup will feel right at home!

Couch surfing is available on a trial basis, usually after we have a chance to get to know the dog. If your dog is destructive, they will need to be housed in our normal kennels. Pricing is the same as our regular boarding rates.

Temperament Evaluation Overview

Temperament evaluations required for all dogs prior to enrolling in daycare or boarding.

Temperament Evaluations are set up as 1/2 day or 1 day of daycare and are priced the same as our normal daycare. Evaluations take a minimum of 2 hours and are available Monday - Friday, 7am-7pm. Evaluations look at how well your dog interacts with other dogs and our staff. Unfortunately we are not able to have dog aggressive or people aggressive animals in our daycare program. Your dogs safety, other dogs safety and our staffs safety is our utmost priority!

We do not currently accept dog or human aggressive/reactive pups.

What to Bring For boarding

Food

We do not provide food during boarding, you must provide food for your dog. Switching food suddenly can be very stressful for a dog and boarding is usually already a little stressful for them. Its best to bring a secure bin of food with extra (just in case) or pre-packaged bags of food.

Bedding

You are welcome to bring beds or bedding from home. This is can be very comforting for your dog to have something with their/your scent on it while you are gone. If you are not able to bring bedding, we are happy to provide bedding for your pup at no additional cost.

Medications

If your dog needs medication, please bring it in a secure container with clear, written instructions. Note: in order to give dogs medication, we will either need to have the prescription bottle or have the exact name and dosage of the medication for our records. This is in case we ever need to give your dogs information to a veterinarian at any point.

Boarding Schedule

Breakfast

7am Potty Break then Breakfast is served!

All Day Play

After the dogs are finished eating, they will join the doggy daycare groups. Dogs will have access to: couches, a large indoor play area, a large outdoor play area and TV as background noise all day. Dogs are supervised in person from 7am - 7pm daily. Potty breaks are taken throughout the day and pups can choose to stay inside or outside per their preference.

Additional Meals (If Needed)

Have a growing pup or older dog that needs to be fed more than 2x a day? We got you! Your pup will be separated and fed his additional meals at the times you request. No additional cost.

Alone Time (If Needed)

While we will never lock up your dog for hours on end and call it "nap time," sometimes pups get overstimulated and need some alone time. If this happens, they will be separated from the group for a short amount of time until they calm down and are ready to play again.

Dinner

5:30pm is dinner and then 7pm one last potty break! Note: if your dog is used to eating before 5:30pm, we are happy to feed them earlier!

Pick-up

Dogs must be picked up by 11am on their pick-up date or there will be an additional charge for a day of daycare. (See Daycare Page for Prices)
