Here you will find a variety of galleries showcasing our set-up. Feel free to reach out with any questions. Enjoy the tour!
Right when your pup enters our facility, they have access to a large hallway area where our boarding dogs are housed. Beyond that is a "living room" type area with several different couches at your pups disposal. Pups can enjoy indoor play in the hallway or lounge on the couches with a TV for background noise. As you can see, small or large; they sure enjoy the couches! Indoor kennels are heated in the winter and air conditioned in the summer to keep the dogs comfortable year-round.
Upstairs is our large indoor play area measuring 62ft X 32ft. This area they are free to romp and play to their hearts content! Its ideal for rainy or cold days when its not ideal to be outside. This area will be under construction in Mid-March and will be turned into several play-pens and additional boarding kennels.
The upstairs area also has a separate outdoor pen so dogs don't have to go all the way back downstairs to go outside.
Welcome to the great outdoors! Animal house has several outdoor runs available for use. Dogs have access to a variety of obstacles and plenty of space to romp and play! There are rocks to climb on, a play house that's surprisingly popular and a grassy area to roll around in. With 12ft chain link fences, even the best escape artists are secure. During the summer, dogs can enjoy kiddie pools with fresh water to help cool off. There is also an awning to create shade on hot summer days. Dogs have access to fresh, clean water 24/7 outside and can go inside or outside at their leisure.
Waste is cleaned as soon as it hits the ground and enclosures are checked multiple times a day for stragglers. This helps keep the play area clean and safe for your pups and helps keep the bugs down during the summer. No pesticides or chemicals are used in the outdoor kennel. Swimming pools and obstacles are cleaned daily after used.
Did you know that Animal House used to be a horse boarding facility before it was converted to a dog kennel? This is why our kennels are so much larger than other facilities, they were actually meant for horses! Needless to say, your pup will have plenty of room to wind down at the end of the day.
Because our kennels are so large, there is a variety in room sizes. The average room/kennel size is 10ft x 8ft with some as large as 12ft long. Dogs are placed in kennels based on their size and temperament. We do have kennels specifically designed for dogs who are able to jump over 5ft high, so your escape artist is safe with us!
Kennels are spot cleaned daily if they are occupied and dogs staying for extended periods will have their kennel deep cleaned weekly. Otherwise, kennels are cleaned between uses. This includes mopping the floors and wiping down the walls and spraying all surfaces with disinfectant. Veterinary grade disinfectant is used to target canine specific viruses and bacteria and is safer for your dogs than regular cleaning products.
Owners are welcome to bring blankets and beds for their pups, but if not we will provide blankets for your pup to lay on. Fresh water is provided inside the kennels 24/7 and is changed nightly or more as needed. Feeding times are 6:30-7am and 5:30-6pm daily, but we are able to accommodate if your pup is used to different times.
One thing that makes Animal House different from other boarding kennels is that we truly treat your dog like family. Boarding dogs are automatically enrolled in our doggie daycare, free of charge. Someone is with your pup from 7am-7pm and they spend the time playing and lounging with the other dogs and staff throughout the day. We want your dog to have the best experience possible so your trips and theirs are stress free.
